Dear friends,
My name is José Luis Copete, and I’m working, between other projects, as photographic consultant for the Handbook of Western Palearctic Birds, which should be edited during 2011, by AC Black, written by Hadoram Shirihai and Lars Svensson. We are now on the final phase of the project, trying to fill some of the plumages for which we are not finding good images. One of them, is concerning the worn plumages of adult Icterine Warbler (Hippolais icterina) and Blyth’s Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus dumetorum). As is an species present in the western part of your huge country, perhaps you could help regarding this. Any picture showing well the worn plumage of adults after breeding, roughly to say between July to October, as well as any picture of first-winter or juvenile birds in similar dates, would be much interesting.
We know the important knowledge you have of your avifauna, and we would be much interested to count with your support in our project.
Don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any further queries regarding the Palearctic Handbook,
Thanks for your time and attention, and looking forward to hearing from you
